The Evil Tambourines are a hip hop duo on SubPop, a bit on the poppy side with distinct late-90s alt rock influences and a dash of what I must lazily refer to as “old-skool roller bass”.  You can almost taste the premillenial goodness.

I got this album in 1999 as part of my vast array of indiscreet privileges as a Tower Records store clerk.  I then lost it during a car break-in in 2002, but this track has been burrowing around in my brain for almost precisely a decade now.

So, I finally got it special-ordered through Aquarius a week ago today.

After I finished moving out of the city last week, this was the first track I played.

This is an excellent piece of harmonic glue between highly fucking personal ends and beginnings;  I could fairly seriously refer to it as the sourdough loaf encasing my decade sandwich.
